The PRISMA Flow Diagram Generator is a free web tool that helps researchers, students and faculty create a PRISMA 2020 flow diagram for a systematic review, scoping review or meta-analysis without redrawing boxes and arrows by hand.

Why it exists

Every systematic review needs a flow diagram that reports how many records were found, screened, excluded and included. Making that diagram in a word processor is slow and easy to get wrong, and many existing options need sign-ups, software or programming. This tool turns the job into filling in numbers.

What it does

• Provides all four official PRISMA 2020 flow diagram templates: new or updated review, with databases and registers only or with other methods.
• Updates the diagram live as you type, with every heading, database, register and exclusion reason editable.
• Exports the finished diagram as PNG, SVG or PDF.
• Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into the diagram is uploaded. The site uses Google Analytics for basic visit statistics only. See the Privacy Policy.

Who built it

The tool was created and is maintained by Biswajeeban Mishra. Feedback, bug reports and suggestions are welcome by email.
